I have heard stories from friends that made it to Thailand, about other “friends” that discovered that they couldn't tell much difference between the genders in certain entertainment districts.

OTOH, maybe their perceptions are way off. An anorexic looks in the mirror and sees fat; this person looks in the mirror and sees hot chick.
