FWIW Kinky Boots is a very good movie about a man who is trying not to loose his fathers shoe company after the father died unexpectedly.
Sure it has a man in it who dresses up as a woman and sings - but it’s much larger than that. He’s trying not to fire all of his employees.
I would think the play would be just bloody awful.
I understand. The same idea that the Godfather films are about the family as much as gangsters. I respect that notion.
The way the network promoted Kinky Boots, though, focused less on any positive aspects and more on the sexual mores celebrated therein.
