We do have policies at the Sheriffs Department that we do cooperate with all other agencies, says Lin Dehning with the Sedgwick County Sheriffs Department. We do not contact them (undocumented illegals) unless they are suspected of being involved in a crime or we have probable cause to believe they have committed a crime, or if there is a warrant for their arrest. We dont just go around looking for people we believe to be illegal, no.
Wichita Police offered a similar stance.
As far as us solely going out and enforcing immigration laws, we do not do that, Deputy Police Chief John Speer told KSN. The only time that we, by policy, will actually factor in immigration status of a person in Wichita, is if we have some knowledge they have re-entered the U.S. after being deported.

So, we have the Nassau County (Florida) Sheriffs office called to assist in a bust by Customs on Monday morning. One of the people being detained in a van got free and ran across the road to escape. A Deputy went to chase him but was struck by a car and killed on the spot. They arrested the perp a day later in Jacksonville and it turns out he was deported twice!
A six year old daughter will be separated for life from her Daddy. To all the bleeding hearts who whine about separating families if members are deported, all it takes is an airplane, train or bus ticket so they can be rejoined. Explain your utter hypocrisy to that little girl you bunch of human trash!
This is a huge part of the problem. Local cops just don’t bother to be proactive. It’s the old they didn’t tell me this person was wanted!! Come on now! You mean to tell me that persons name isn’t already in a computer data base?
Some things just don’t pass the giggle test
