40 million people of CA have paid Federal taxes over the decades/centuries. It is theirs.
So how many need to die to keep a Naval base open? A Naval base that would be fine moved to Hawaii? Better liberty.

Wrong question. The right question is how many will die from the chaos secession would inevitably produce. Chaos in no way limited to the state.
