The real import of the story here is, Mr. Trump is considering continued government involvement in health care.

He didn't say he's for returning to free markets, non-governmental programs, ever. He wasn't setting himself up as a laissez-faire Capitalist, ever. I wanted him elected simply to prevent a myriad of disasters on other grounds, but not medicine. We are a breath away from no-choice-at-all medicine, i.e., socialized or single payer medicine. Most of the older good docs have quit or are planning to. Never thought Trump had the steel to deal a death blow to Medicare, never. Like I said, next government turnabout will finalize what LBJ and FDR began.

Indeed. President Trump should abolish the FDA, Medicare, the CDC, NIH, and all the rest as well as abolish all government-funded medical research and all Federal health care standards. It’s WAY past time to get the Feds OUT of health care.
