Entertainers have been attacking those they disagree with (mostly conservatives) for decades.
There is no need to apologize. In fact he made a big step forward for liberal entertainers. It’s now ok to
attack those you disagree with politically in theaters (where tickets were paid for). No need to wait for an opportunistic interview.
It’s also ok to attack specific paying customers in the theater. It may have been a politician this time but anyone with a MAGA hat is now a legitimate target in theaters.
These are huge precedents. If it plays our right, liberals will not only be able to avoid contact with conservative ideas online but also when they go to movies, plays, and other cultural entertainment events like NFL games (since conservatives won’t go). They are making progress towards implementing SNL’s bubble across the country.
Even if it wasn’t the case this year, in 2020 most liberals will be able to honestly say “I don’t know how Trump won. I haven’t met a single person who supported him”.
From what I’ve read, Pence is the one who handled the matter best. Calm and classy. It could’ve stopped right there.
I don’t expect a POS to apologize for anything. Just other than lie there like a turd you are.

Unfortunately, this will live on for awhile, as others have noted - ticket sales are brisk and it is going on the road.
There needs to be a local/state body which vets productions for accuracy. White in white roles. Black in black roles etc. And the tone and dialogue must be correct. If such a production makes it stage, the city it is performed in suddenly has no funding from the feds.
Last year, I took the family to a production of a Christmas Carol - there were black actors playing key parts. I wrote the production company, and they retorted they were seeking the best person for the part or
some bull.
I did point out the inaccuracies of the depictions to the kids though.
That didn't sound like the story I heard the other day (in the news)... so who knows... the View isn't exactly a trusted source in my mind.
