Sophie Theallet has vowed not to dress Melania Trump when she becomes First Lady and urged other designers to follow her example.
Speaking on behalf of her brand, the designer tweeted a damning open letter in which she said they 'will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next First Lady'.
Citing the 'rhetoric of racism, sexism and xenophobia' of the president-elect's campaign, she ruled out ever working with Melania - despite not having been asked.

In all fairness, the moochelle’s designer was given an impossible assignment: make her look good. Regardless, the designer can go get a job at which he has a better chance at success.

I’m sure some lesser known designers are quite pleased with the idiocy of this person. Gives new designers a better chance of getting in the spotlight. I hope she will wear several different designers and I hope they do well.
I think the truth is the First Lady would drop kick this designer thru the french doors and over the rails of the deck of the Trump’s living quarters when she offers Melania one of her flour sack dresses to wear...And the designer knows it...She got out before Melania could embarrass her in public...
Then there are many other up and coming designers who would love to make a fortune dressing up the new first lady.
So true. I was in the employee break room at work one day and a man in a suit came in to get coffee from the machine. A woman told him he was looking good. He said that for him to look good he had to spend 200 dollars for a suit. "You look good no matter what you wear." She appreciated it. I still smile at that.
Melania would look stunning in a shower curtain.
And I assure this hack designer that Melania already has a favorite designer or designers that have been working with her for years.
