Yeah, I just binge-watched it two months ago on my Roku, via Crunchyroll. I hadn't seen it since it was on Adult Swim in the late '90s. It was impressive then, and really no less so now. I'd spotted the soundtrack on Amazon a while back and bought it.
I like Ghost in the Shell, too - though I'm wondering how in the IRL version will fare.
So far the trailers for GITS is looking good. It's unfortunate that they pretty much have to retell/recast the original movie because it's targeting a much bigger audience, but I'd be interested in seeing something similar to the Laughing Man or Individual 11 story lines. I guess if it does good, they can always make more.
I really thought the Stand Alone Complex was interesting stuff.
Best thing about Bebop though, is that the entire series is a story with a beginning, middle, and end. I like it when they do it right.
