You’re being sarcastic, I take it? Texting is handy if talking is difficult or not possible. It’s also very useful in areas with weak cell reception. A text will often go through when voice will not.

No, texting is eroding the very fabric of humanity!

In fifty years, our offspring will have lost all ability to verbally communicate except with grunts and pointing, due to being completely depending on texting! Children will just be named with variations of smileys, and all legal documents will need to be translated into texting abbreviations and acronyms or nobody will be able to interpret them!
