Ivanka Trump recently appeared alongside her father, President-elect Donald J. Trump, and surrounding family members in their first postelection interview, in New York City. The 35-year-old businesswoman wore a nude short-sleeved dress and opted for gold accessories, including a $10,800, 18K yellow gold diamond bangle from her eponymous jewelry line.
Soon after the interview it was revealed that one of the fashion mavens employees sent an email to journalists offering style details on the expensive bangle.
Seeing as Trumps eldest daughter is heavily scrutinized by the press and media alike, for the conflict of interest that lies in promoting her own business at high profile political appearances, it didnt take long for social media users to take issue with Ivanka hawking her own expensive bangle on the segment. Many users felt that Ivanka was using this important interview as a marketing opportunity.
Ivanka Trump brand president President Abigail Klem said in a statement that a well-intentioned employee was to blame for the release who is still making adjustments post-election. We are proactively discussing new policies and procedures with all of our partners going forward, said Klem.
This isnt the first time Ivanka has worn and promoted her own design.
In fact, throughout her fathers campaign, Ivanka was spotted in many pieces from her own label. She notably wore a $138 sheath dress from her clothing line to introduce Trump before he accepted the Republican Partys nomination for the presidency at the Republican National Convention, back in July. Shes worn a number of other dress and shoe styles from her collections to appearances during the political campaign. Self-branding will always be controversial for high profile figures, especially for those with political ties, but it doesnt seem like Ivanka plans to change.

“I wonder whose undies and bra she was wearing. Maybe all persons in public service should buy their clothes at a thrift store.”
Would she fit in one of Pat Nixon’s cloth coats? Probably not, too tall.
A beautiful woman wearing her own brand is not allowed, but a hefty lady wearing prize fighting boob belts is ok?
Agreed. Good post. Deserves yelling!
She never said a word about the bracelet.
Just because she was WEARING it, she has a conflict?
How petty.
Whah whah whah
Yet the uselss idiot talentless kardasiens are wonderful and great
Yahoo’s home page has had a daily steady stream of articles bashing Trump, before and after the election. I’m thinking of dropping my long-time yahoo email address.
Cute girl, nice outfit, standard gold bracelet.
Whats not to like.
OH, MY GOD HER NAME IS TRUMP.
That bracelet must be made from BLOOD GOLD mined by murdered slaves in Africa.
That outfit must be made from the material of murdered plants and animals that are endangered in Patagonia.
That outfit from murdered, endangered, plants and animals was put together in a slave labor sweatshop in Indonesia.
That 60 Minutes microphone was manufactured by slave labor in China, India, or Pakistan.
OH THE HORROR!!!
OK, I’m done ; STUPID MEDIA.
If she didn’t wear her own label people would say her designs are so bad even she won’t wear it.
Apparently an overzealous employee sent a notice out about it to the news.
It’s appropriately considered Big News = a gracious First Lady with taste and style.
The moocher and hillary both trade between old draperies and potato sacks...all 40 superlarge.
Ivanka is in the unenviable position of "damned if she does, and damned if she doesn't."
She has not adapted to being fair game to the Soros/Clinton slime machine masquerading as "reporters."
Dealing with predators of all ages acting as toddlers or nasty teenagers is a trial by fire.
I am sure she is always asked to comment on something she's wearing, and the only "safe response" seems to be "I prefer not to answer that," when it's obvious that there can be to "right" response to prevent an attack.
That it reflects more on the small, classless punks who are predators 24/7 is small comfort. Ignoring the losers is the only safe option until we get a better class of reporter/commentators or until Ivanka masters the option of engaging in conversations only on her own terms.
Class always prevails.
If Hillary ever wore a dress as an adult I am unaware of it, and as for $14,000 worth of enhancement, she (or the Tax-Free Clinton Foundation) should demand their money back.
I believe that the more appropriate word is ENVIOUS which, incidentally, is one of the seven deadly sins.
To reveal the classlessness of the Clinton slime machine, I can imagine Ivanka having lots of fun by mocking the obviously killer Hillary reporters on a mission...
Yes, her dress aka Mao Sack, was designed by a big name designer. It looked like a piece of crap.
