I feel your pain. Here in NE Oklahoma we have a couple of places who claim to sell authentic cheesesteaks...

A blustery afternoon with a misty rain, getting into Jim's and getting a fresh cheesesteak wit provolone, onions and peppers, a bag of chips and a Yuengling and going upstairs for a bit more elbow room to enjoy it.

One of the most enjoyable meals of my life, ever.

Look for a deli that has Mandina’s Italian roast beef and make your own sandwich. Mandina’s also has a good Cajun roast beef. Some Walmarts vary it.
