One memorial day weekend about 30 years, Friday or Saturday at near midnight I pulled into gas station in Breezewood PA. Next thing I know dozens of motorcycle guys pull in. I’m thinking “OMG, I’m dead!” It was Rolling Thunder. They were just wonderful!
Met a bunch of RT guys again when I was a volunteered at Walter Reed during the Iraq war. Wonderful and then some!!!!

Over the years, the relationship between American and metric riders has greatly improved.
Part of that is due to ABATE.
Over 23 years ago, our chapter pres. told to me to ‘wave’ at ALL bikers and since my respect for him knows no bounds, and I would do anything he asked, I always do.
*Most* of the time, they return ‘the wave’, although, in the beginning, they looked surprised and returned it, tentatively.
When one expresses shock that I have no issue with their ride, I always say “Hey man, a bike’s a bike”.
I have stopped for all kinds of bikers.
Occasionally, this freaks hubby out, because sometimes, they’re club members stranded in the cold rain.
*Never* had one be anything less than respectful and grateful.
[I’ve also ‘scored points’ with several clubs, because of that kindness and now, have guardian angels, no matter where I go]
I remember when we were judged as ‘drug-slinging-hippy-bikers’, for no reason.
The night I brought hubby-to-home home to meet the parents, I will *never* forget.
The looks on their faces was priceless, and when he grabbed dad’s hand and shook it, I had Danzig’s “Mother” playing in my head. LOL
In a matter of two years, my dad ended up nearly getting into a fight in a SC motel, on behalf of some bikers who the motel owner was treating shabbily, judging them for their leathers.
They got a room because dad pitched a fit, for them.
Flash forward to now, when people I don’t even know, shake my hand and thank me, when they see my Bikers For Trump patch.
Finally, they’re being seen for the Knights In Black Armor that I have always known bikers to be.
They are the family I chose.

Putting gas in the tank is likely the extent of his mechanical knowledge.
Actually, he’s been riding Harleys since the 70s and has a great love for American muscle cars.
One of the few respectable traits he retained, after going Full Libtard.
Whether he can wrench his own rides, is a mystery.
He needs to stay on Low Riders and such, due to being a little shrimp, though.
Maybe he ran out of gas or accidentally hit his kill switch and got perplexed.

........yes sir! I was on a Texas back country road a few months back, came around a curve and there was a sixtyish gentleman standing in the middle of the maybe 20’ wide road with his Goldwing laying on its side. He had made the cardinal sin of a Goldwing rider. Namely, stopping on a non level road and IN the road to try and turn around. He lost his balance and fell over. Big problem for a 60’s man with a 900 lb motorcycle.
I was in a hurry because of people waiting for me at home plus I didn’t want to end up like him plus judging on looks I didn’t like him.
So, I found a place to stop, came back and helped him get er back standing then she wouldn’t start! 20 minutes later we got her going!
Got home 30 minutes late. Girlfriend about to call cops! Cellphone is OFF on the Moto. The guy I “didn’t like” turned out to be one of the nicest guys I ever met.
