Thomas Massie would be a good replacement for Ryan since he has been a consistent opponent of “leadership” like Ryan being one of the only nine House Republicans who did not vote for Ryan last time.
I often hear names of members like Jim Jordan or Trey Gowdy as great replacements, but I don’t agree.
Those guys and almost all the others supported Ryan for Speaker and before that they supported Boehner and to call those who voted for the corrupt leaders like John Boehner and Paul Ryan for Speaker ‘conservatives’ or ‘patriots’ doesn’t ring true to me.
Even if Ryan WANTS the Speakers position, he should still be voted OUT. He was a traitor to Trump early in the game by not endorsing him and he has not changed his “spots”. Ryan is only now sucking up to Trump so he can hold onto the Speaker’s spot.
bkmk
Uuniparty PR man should go.
Trey would be great...
Rep. Massie is my U.S. Rep and I have followed his career very closely. Intelligent, self-made man, free of political entanglements. Fiercely independent. He would cut right to the bone against the nonsense surrounding how business is done in the “swamp”. Investigate him, then voice your support when the time comes.
Kudos to Massie. Ryan has to go if any conservative agenda is to be advanced.
Thomas Massie would make a great Speaker. I wish he was my rep instead of the one I’m stuck with: Andy Barr.
But in any case:
I would take almost anybody over my Pelosi lap dog Jim Himes.
