Yeah this is some nasty stuff. Looks like mostly for those on chemo or otherwise immune-compromised. But the outbreaks in healthcare settings are a concern.

Fungal infections are very difficult to treat to begin with. I was on anti fungal meds for a year to prevent an infection... Those are strong meds with major side effects. Glad I'm off them now. Although, My immune system is ‘better’ I'm still at risk for fungal infections due to my condition. Unfortunately, I know of a couple people who passed from fungal infections. They are very difficult to clear up, since most everyone who gets them has an underlying condition and their body just can't fight it.
