I wonder, Paul46360, if we are neighbors. If 46360 is a zip code, then I imagine that you are just over the state line from me in Michigan City. My farm is in Berrien County, MI, though my full time residence is in Ann Arbor, MI.

Turkey is one of the more interesting places in the world. My work even now takes me there occasionally, but I do not presume to know anywhere near enough to render any informed judgments about anything, except to write that the Kurds have been so long-suffering, it seems, that were I in the place of that restaurant owner I strongly suspect that I too would oppose the Turks, the Iraqis, the Iranians, etc. I am pretty sure that I would not be a terrorist, but on the surface I find it quite unlikely that he was either.

So let's see..you own farm land in Berrien County, live in Ann Arbor area and occasionally travel to that part of the world..interesting.
I understand the Kurdish frustration having been in Turkey for 1.5 yrs. What they once thot was theirs has been swallowed up the Turkey and Iraq and Iran. They are a proud people. I get it. But when they use terrorism methods to get resolution..bets are off.
Would this country stand if the KKK demanded to be heard? That the Confederate flag be allowed to fly?? And those pushing that agenda use terrorism to see that change? I don't think we would.
Having been over there and get daily intel briefings on the PPK's action, makes me not be too sympathetic towards him...if he did participate in any way.
