Is American Virgin Islands a Domestic Flight?
When arriving at the Virgin Islands from the U.S., you will not be required to go through customs; however, all passengers, including U.S. citizens, must pass through customs when returning stateside. This is because the U.S. Virgin Islands lie outside of the customs zone of the mainland U.S. The State Department has minor restrictions on goods being brought in from the islands, including limits on liquor amounts and requiring receipts for certain purchases; always check with the customs requirements for entry into the U.S. from the Virgin Islands before traveling. As I said, I think there will be records of who went there and returned on Eptein's "Lolita Express", if investigating officers really want to dig for them.
