With all due respect, how can there be a Constitutional crisis when one party has no interest in upholding our Constitution or the country’s laws, and the other party won’t lift a finger to do anything about it?

The Clintons are perpetually in scandal mode. This is just another episode for them to “work through”. Their reliable allies in the media will rush to their defense and find a way to somehow pin the blame on Republicans.

This is the natural order of things. /sarc

And Texas. Johnson’s ability to fix things there got him his spot on the Kennedy ticket.

It has been a constitutional crisis since Obama took office and Congress abrogated it’s clearly defined duties under the Constitution.

Exactly right, and he’s still doing it for them. What does the Friday revelation tell you? Comey was forced to do this but its notable that he did it at the end of the week to help Hillary out with the news cycle. He could have done it earlier but it would have caused more fallout for Hillary.

Cover Up Comey is still working on behalf of Hillary.

If Trump is the president I think there will be things that the pardon misses that will come into play, like state charges in various states. Hussein can pardon all her federal crimes but not her state crimes and there are some of those, too. She is just as secure in a New York prison as in a Federal pen.

Yes, Obama could issue a blanket pardon for Hillary.
This case is pervasive enough that a prosecutor could still “get” her by going after everyone else involved, hard, such that they’ll either give up something that could still stick, or see to it that “mob justice” is done on her.

Not by a President Trump.

The real constitutional crisis has been playing out from January 1989 to the present time. US voters have a chance to interrupt a 27 year rolling crisis.

"The other option is secession."

Which will lead to the refreshing of the Tree of Liberty.

There's no way to make an omelette without cracking eggs, and unfortunately, that's what looks like is on the menu.

The power to fix this Constitutional mess lies with (a) Congress and (b) the Several States.

Congress can go a long way toward repairing our system through the power of the purse, impeachment of judges and other officials and by appointing Special Prosecutors to get the “law and order” ball rolling. We The People need to elect the right people and hold their feet to the fire. None of this “conservative until after Election Day” crap we’re seeing now.

Oh, and a jihad to sterilize the voting process is also required. Voter ID may require a Constitutional Amendment, along with any other measures to make voting integrity sacred.

The States entered into the legal contract we call the Constitution and it is incumbent upon the States to demand compliance, limited only by their imaginations in how to do so. Secession is a harsh measure but I’m sure we can come up with others.

Secession does not mean war will follow. It may or may not.

What I remember from those days was the the media was in a frenzy of Nixon hate, the politicians had their panties in a wad, but none of the ordinary people I knew were suffering any angst at all.

I wonder what would happen nowadays if states tried to secede from the union.

We know we fought a civil war which kept the southern states in the union. But would we fight an actual war today??

Suppose Texas wanted to secede. Suppose their people and legislature voted to become independent. How exactly would anyone prevent that? Would the federal government send troops to prevent their declaring independence?

The legal process will take time to work through all of this.

But we voters have our say. We can vote no on Nov.8; vote no on the Clintons going back to the White House.

No, these are not your GGGF Yankees. The power structure would be more than happy to get rid of the South and Texas.

I understood that. Nixon had the dignity to resign, something Democrats hardly ever do. I was speaking about this line from the OP, however:

I lived through the Nixon years, and this [i.e., Constitutional as per title] Crisis far exceeds that one.

I believe Trump's current campaign is a Constitutional Crisis of sorts because political parties on BOTH sides, probably three or four, are subverting the intentions of the Constitution and, further, that the US Government has been colluding among its cabinet and cabinet level agencies to keep Constitutional and legal criminality by the Clintons et al from knowledge by the public before the upcoming election.
