But, football stadiums are a major cash drain. For EIGHT games (one or two more if there are playoffs) they get to build a multi-zillion dollar stadium with promises of "other events" to fill the empty seats. Doesn't happen.
Lambeau Field in Green Bay was a pretty good investment!!!
