Yes and yes.
The Hofner was a 60s model - I f***ed up, 100%. I was only ~18 at the time, so I can’t be too hard on myself. But...

Aw hell....my dad had a 1965 Ford Mustang 289 4 speed, 4 bbl, convertible he ordered from the factory for $2900. He traded it in in 1968 for a GTO. He regretted it for the rest of his life. : )
I ended up with the GTO in my senior year...
I scored, dad lost.
Great taste is cars!
Dad knew how to pick em. His next was an Olds 442 convertible. He bought that from Healer Oldsmobile in Watertown, Mass. It was the owner’s demo with 6,000 miles on it.
“Healer Oldsmobile in Watertown, Mass.”
Alas, they’re long gone...
Great chooses in cars though.
There was a Seattle talk show host (now dead, murdered by a homeless guy) who used to do a segment called “Radio Hell” twice a year. You call in with what you thought would be playing on the radio in Hell...obviously the WORST songs.
‘Imagine’ would be on that list, as well as...
Seasons in the Sun
Never Been to Me
Muskrat Love
The Night Chicago Died
Eres Tu
Billy, Don’t Be A Hero
Feelings
The Bertha Butt Boogie
You’re Havin’ My Baby
Rocky (Not the movie theme)
Livin’ Next Door to Alice
Save The Last Dance for Me (DiFranco Family version)
I’m Not Lisa
Please Mister, Please
Third-Rate Romance
Fly, Robin, Fly......
You get the idea.
Volare, oh oh / Cantare, oh oh oh oh / Let’s fly way up to the clouds / Away from the maddening crowds
The 442 Cutlass was a monster. There was a “Hurst 442” model if I remember correctly too.
Sounds cliche, but they REALLY don’t make them like that anymore....
Man I had a great childhood.....just on cars alone!
Amen!
