Sometimes I read USA Today at a motel, and I just can’t figure out how or why it exists. Not that many ads, and read by a demographic that doesn’t care. You just skim the paper, maybe look at sports or entertainment, and the ads don’t seem to have any traction, especially if you’re from out of town, as many readers are.

USSA Today ? Nothing but deranged, anti-Trump hate dripping from every page.

I travel a lot and often, there is a free (and not requested) USA Today in front of my room door in the morning. I promptly throw it in the trash can without reading it. But I wonder if their “readership” figures for advertising purposes include these giveaways.

Every Gannett-owned local rag has turned into a version of USA Today, with a handful of local pages that have the same article reprinted several times during the week.(such as the AZ Republic)
