I remember listen to an RCI broadcast on a Canadian tribe that was being hit by an extended cold snap.

I felt sorry for the chief. Not only did they have to cancel their "Tribal Days" because the snow froze solid, but he threw his back out trying to manually pull-start his snowmobile because the extreme cold killed the battery.
