I read this email in its entirety. In it, he is being critical of the dumbed down populace that acquiescence to the educational system has produced. He's complaining that it's the dumbed down voters who are supporting Trump and equates him to a reality show candidate.

I did not take away from this email that he thought dumbing down voters was either a good idea or that it was a democrat strategy.
