The US gov’t started lying about unemployment (U6 measurement, ie: not counting those not participating in the work force and no longer “looking” for work) as far back as 1986.
They started lying about true inflation rate (CPI) around then too.
The real unemployment rate is: 22+%
Inflation rate is: 7+%
