I eat bambi every year. Clean shot right behind the ear. They drop dead on the spot. Their brains sustain a hydrostatic shock and do not even know what happened. They are delicious.
Actually hunters are the deer’s best friend. When we buy weapons and ammo a percentage goes to the Texas Game and Wildlife Commission. They analyzed the herd population and issue game tags to cull the excess. Thus depending on year to year vegetation and available food for deer they maximize the healthy deer population to the max.
The Texas Game and Wildlife Commision do a great job. We hunters are there friend and they are our friend.
A good case in point is where I live. I live 3 miles west of Salado, Texas. We hunt in accordance to game commision rules. Our deer are in great shape. In Salado itself you can not hunt. The deer population is to great for the available food. They look like hell. We have had two years of good rain. If we have a drought next year the deer in Salado will die of starvation.
The ethical hunter is the deers best friend!
It sounds like your hunting method is very humane.
You are my distant cousin. It is incredibly humane, far more so than slow death by wolf.
