Our modern day feline fixations started with the ancient Egyptians. The Israelites were probably very familiar with cats from being in Egypt for 350 years.
The ancient Romans became enamored with cats from their trading with and conquering of Egypt..............

Ohhhhhhh, old school...
Melmac
That also added to the connection to the tiger-Tora post.
Kind of strange...
Same thing happened just now as when I was writing the original post on the old tattoo thread.. I had to stop typing to attend to a rescue.
A titmouse hit the window again and was laying on the deck.
This rarely happens. I don't recall a titmouse ever hitting a window. Usually (but still only occasionally) it's the rambuncious jays and they always just bounce off.
Anyway, I headed outside to hold and love the victim until he/she could recover (it's quite cold). This second one really whacked hard, and the heartbeat was slow.
Like the first one, it didn't mind being held, and calmly snuggled in my hand for several minutes until ready to go.
They have such sweet, bright and happy faces. So glad they recovered.
Haha, *lying*, not laying. Not like they are chickens!
IIRC, All modern day cats are descendants of African Wildcats, or are cousins. There is disagreement................

Interesting. There is no end to the quest for knowledge.
Something for everybody! It *should* keep folks entertained and out of trouble, yet...

Sorry, it seems to work here, “Mork And Mindy Se 1 Ep 22 In Mork We Trust”.
Actually, it’s toads.
There are a number of neighborhood cats which certain ladies feed. One of them was coming to my door looking for food and it occurred to me that I should invite it in. It came in and walked about the house meowing vigorously. I fed it a bit and allow it in whenever it wants. It patrols noisily for a few minutes, eats a few bites, then wants back out. I have heard and seen no indication of mice since that first visit. My rodent elimination system costs me a couple of dollars a month for cat food.
With these visitations you undoubtedly have no mice.
