I’m not entirely disagreeing with you.
He certainly needs to hit her hard on the issue of integrity and the rule of law. She is for sale and the American people do not have the $$ to buy her. We do not need Huey P Long in the White House after Carl Weiss went to so much trouble to put a permanent end to his campaign.
However, it is hard to win elections when the only message is that the other guy is an SOB. People need a reason to vote for Trump as well as against Hillary. Trump wins on the issues. He looses if he lets this election be about whether or not the first class arm rests could go up or not.
Our message: Trump wins- happy days are here again for YOU the voter. Hillary wins- corruption, poverty, war that will make the life of YOU the voter a living hell.
Even if we win the arguments over p****gate we loose if they use preposterous made up issues to jam the delivery of our message.
I agree that Trump`s comments on such issues should stay high level. No need to point out the holes in each and every accusation. But it is important to address them for what they are - a concerted effort to move the campaign away from the issues, - on which Hillary loses - by questioning Trump`s character. Pointing out the hypocrisy in smearing Trump as a sexual deviant while ignoring the actual sexual misdeeds of the Clinton`s is fair game in my opinion.
