Russian Television Warns of Nuclear War Amid US Tensions

With diplomatic relations between Moscow and Washington at their lowest point since the Cold War, turning on Russian television can be an alarming experience. For the past month, Russian media outlets have been punctuated with reports asking people whether they are ready for nuclear war.

"If it should one day happen, every one of you should know where the nearest bomb shelter is. It’s best to find out now," according to one particularly fevered report on the Russian state-owned channel, NTV.

Russia’s main current affairs show, hosted by a presenter known by critics as the country’s propagandist-in-chief, recently spent two hours warning that Russia would defend itself with nuclear arms.

"We’ve had it with American abuse over Syria," the show’s host, Evgeny Kiselyov, told his audience. "Impudent behavior," from the U.S. towards Russia, he said, can now take on "nuclear dimensions."

Even more bluntly, Russia announced this week it was moving nuclear-capable ballistic missiles into its Northern European enclave, Kaliningrad, putting them within striking distance of Western capitals. In the same week, Russia test-fired 3 intercontinental ballistic missiles.

We have no idea of how serious this is. Is Putin bloviating or are we edging towards the brink? We don’t know. And that scares me.

The press is too busy protecting Obama’s legacy and dedicated to helping elect first President with a vagina to report on important issues.

“...who would you prefer to rule over you: Putin or Hillary?”

In that case, the choice is between a compromised drug-addled
politician with no accomplishment other than husband choice, and a laser-focused cold-eyed dictator who fought his way to the top of a brutal system, has nukes and is not afraid to deploy them.

This is what I know for sure, this is just one more example of Hillary Clinton's failure as our Secretary of State.

She rest our relationship all right, reset it all the way back to 1962.

Is Putin working with Obama to keep them in power? Less of a threat to him for sure. Also, there’s got to be some kind of setup behind all the Russian hacking crap.

These situations lend themselves to too much speculation. On the relationship, first Obama was a Marxist plant, then Putin hates him, now who knows

Yea, the Russians aren’t hacking anything. Hillary is just using them for scapegoats. She is a careless idiot.

"Would a low-yield hit on DC be that bad?"

I'm directly in the fallout pattern for DC. Wait 'til I get to Texas, please!!

Yeah, I know this isn't technically accurate, but I'm so close it wouldn't matter.

I think Obama was a Muslim/Soros plant. I don’t think Putin loves or hates Trump but I also think he knows Trump would be much harder for him than Hillary so I don’t doubt a collusion to stop Trump. The rest of the world is in on it and proud of it.

Of course, the Castle Bravo test in 1954 was 15MT (Megatons), which isn’t exactly “low yield.”

I blame everyone who’s ever voted for a democrat since 1976. Especially people who voted for Bill Clinton starting when he ran for Arkansas AG. I knew he was a fraud the first time I heard him speak.

Interesting that Russia has bomb shelters and we don’t.

How do you think they are going to meet their green house gas emissions targets?

As a side benefit, they get to kill of whitey, and they can import a gazillion turd worlders as their new peasant class.

A lot of it is posturing but it’s more than just a distraction for HRC’s benefit assuming Putin isn’t in on the charade. The Russians have been in a war footing and preparing their population for nuclear conflict for weeks. They wouldn’t have to go to that extent just for a ruse. Some harsh words would do it...fallout drills wouldn’t be necessary.

Same. I’ve held it off as a ‘well-intentioned difference of opinion’ but now I have nothing but contempt for these voters. They’ve sewn the seeds to destroy my home.

Me too - (knew Clinton was a fraud - and a sick one at that - the first time I heard him speak.).

We are truly in grave danger with Obamalama in charge and Hitlery on the brink of being President.

The Russian people may know it - but the American people are, for the most part, asleep.
