Do I get counseling if I am troubled by Albert and Alberta Gator?
1: They portray cisgender heteronormative stereotypes
2: I can’t stop thinking about the boy who was eaten by a gator at Disney World
3: Alligators are sacred to many Native American groups. Therefore Albert and Alberta are disrespecting those cultures.

Power is defined by the ability to stop something, to turn it off. There are a lot of fascists who are testing the limits of what they can do by saying "you don't get to do that!" When they can get a power trip banning costumes, words and cultural practices in college, they will become full blown fascists in the real world or permanent agitators and sources of violence if they don't get to force others through power of the state. And the worst part is - the teachers who indoctrinated them as such still hold those views and impart them. I think they need to read CS Lewis, because this fits social justice warriors perfectly. Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. ― C.S. Lewis
