A landmark Philly cheesesteak stand has removed a sign posted a decade ago that told customers to order only in English.
Genos Steaks in south Philadelphia made headlines in 2006 over a small sign posted at the shop stating, This is AMERICA: WHEN ORDERING SPEAK ENGLISH.

Put up a “speaka da english” sign instead.
I know a Trump supporter here in town; and on his ca$h register is a sign that reads, “English Spoken Here.”

“English Spoken Here” is simply a statement, not a demand or command.
It can be taken as a statement of fact or expectation.
It’s hard enough keeping some restaurants open nowadays. I guess his family just wants to cook and sell food, not preach or legislate. They are being honest about what now takes priority in their lives. The original owner was also being honest, and did what he though was necessary at that time. I salute his efforts. I’m sure he got some pushback from the No-Borders groups.
I guess the son didn’t inherit the set his father,Joey, had.

Couple years ago, the wife and i went to Pittsburgh on the day the pink ribbon march was ongoing.
Getting around the city was a nightmare for an outsider.
Beautiful but we couldn’t go from point A, To point B.
We did get to the church brew works but still?
And don't even get me started on the local habit of saving street parking with lawn chairs or burning couches to celebrate the backyard brawl between WVU and Pitt.
