Why not just call it STD Exchange Day?
The Native Americans believed the lies and gave up their guns to the White Man with forked tongue.
Hopefully we will not make the same mistake.
Call it “white guys that had better ship*, cross an ocean that indigenous people couldn’t manage to cross Day”.
*p=t. But works either way.
“Indigenous Peoples” from Siberia. Seems they were not “from” here. Wait until the liberals find out they were white people.
The best thing that ever happened to hunter-gatherer societies was the improved living standards brought about by civilization.
Phoenix?
The city created out of the barren desert by an ex-Confederate soldier?
A place devoid of any human habitation save a few Maricopa tribal encampments in the dirt on the side of the Salt River?
Phoenix was entirely a creation of the white man’s technology: farms with irrigation and buildings to defeat the heat.
It is what it is today entirely due to the ideas of the whites, and mostly white Protestants. Now ruled by a carpetbagger “Republican” from Ohio.
Indigenous day in Arizona? The Apache spent their lives raiding the farms of the Pima and the Maricopa to steal what they would not make. The Navajo spent their lives competing with the Apaches in this extortion racket against the less vicious tribes.
They all were defeated when they attacked the settlers mercilessly and found out these guys weren’t as big of patsies as the stone age survival farmers they were used to pillaging.
Indigenous day? Without the whites, where would they get the federal paychecks? The Ford trucks to careen around the ‘Rez? The sawmills in Whiteriver? The ski area at Sunrise (owned by the Apache Nation)?
Indigenous day? Might as well call it back to the Stone age day.
A joyous Charles the Hammer Day to you.

The gov is a liar. It’s not about honoring sacrifices and contributions; it’s all about criminalizing yet another icon of American history, a la eliminating Washington and Lincoln in favor of the BS “Presidents’ Day.”
Fauxcahontas Day.
Just got back from an Italian food store here in upstate NY. Political correctness killed Columbus Day. NO mention of CD ANYWHERE in the store. No special sales.
I DID see an obese, pregnant Sudanese Muslim woman and her daughter with ZERO English language skills EXPECTING to be waited on by a middle aged, skinny Italian man who worked at the store.
You could SEE the frustration on his face. She would not pick up one tiny light box and actually expected ME to help her as the Italian man carted her out with cases of pasta, etc. Boxes were literally spilling off at the heavily ladened cart.
She gestured at me and pointed as if to say, YOU, PEON, pick up my STUFF! I ignored her and walked past.
Probably all EBT purchases. She climbed into a brand new Toyota Highlander to add injury to insult!
Umm I am a naturalized American (originally from Canada) and I NEVER expected to be waited on and not speak English!!
I almost threw up in my mouth when the older Italian lady at the cash register was trying to appease her by telling her how “beautiful” her wildly coloured dress was.
those “indiginous people” are NOT indiginous, they came here from elsewhere, just like Columbus did
ALSO,
if anyone wants to ‘celebrate indiginous people’ why don’t they just create a new day for that very purpose (instead of cannibalizing, no pun intended, Columbus Day?)
with 100 million Americans out of work in the Obama Great Depression, a new (possibly paid) holiday won’t cost industry very much in wages
