This map produced by the NHC shows hurricane force winds hit the Florida coast from Vero Beach all the way to Jacksonville. No coastal station reported anything withing 20 m.p.h. of hurricane force.
The map also indicates that the South Carolina coast from the Georgia border to Murrell's Inlet experience hurricane force winds. You guess it. No winds within 20 m.p.h. of hurricane force winds reported in S. Carolina.
