Teaser Trailer: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack. Jack's only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” also stars Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, Golshifteh Farahani as the sea-witch Shansa, Stephen Graham as Scrum, David Wenham as Scarfield and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa.

Espen Sandberg & Joachim Rønning are directing “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. The executive producers are Mike Stenson, Chad Oman, Joe Caracciolo, Jr. and Brigham Taylor. Jeff Nathanson wrote the screenplay. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” drops anchor in U.S. theaters on May 26, 2017.

Like the first one even if not original, but what is nowadays? The second was over the top, and the third was just stupid.

I take it you didn't see the fourth one? It was also stupid.

Most of these Hollywood morons are not only for Hillary (and, thus, the destruction of this country), but donate to her and make her eternal quest for power more likely to be successful. So screw them all - I’m done with paying for movies.

I agree. I am done with paying for movies that support Liberal asswipes who hate us.

Besides, after the first movie the rest sucked.

And that is exactly what I said.

Aren't these pirates already dead and re-animated by a curse?
Doesn't that make the title a Clintonian Truth (a.k.a a lie)?

Off genre, I really enjoy bad-ass vengence movies. Some go to far like the "Taken" franchise, but Denzel Washington's recent "The Equalizer" was one of the best.

Good story, decent plot, great acting, solid directing, personable characters. A little over the top with his super-duper abilities, but the director made it work. Glad they ended with him on the computer looking for others to help. I usually get so sick of movies needing to set up for a sequel. It's often so blatant and contrived...this one wasn't so much.

Well, you got the mandatory light-loafer holding the microphone for her, but who’s the shaved head butch behind her? Couple of DC consultant-types in coats following them.

New Muslim-centric casting, eh?

I can't think of any bad Denzel Washington movies. They are always quite good. Did you know Denzel Washington's first role was as an "extra" in "Death Wish"?

That fact that Javier Bardem is in the movie might make it interesting...

In "Skyfall" and "No Country for Old Men" he pretty stole much the show...

Neither can I. He is in my top actors even though he seems to have a limited range, unlike DeNiro and others. Guess he and/or his agent pick the best scripts.

Yes, she is very believable as a “brilliant” astronomer! As was Kelly McGillis in “Top Gun,” and Nicole Kidman in “Days of Thunder.”

I never thought of Denzel Washington’s range as limited. His performance in “Training Day” was scary.

That was Jamie Fox with Tom Cruise.

Yes, one of his better performances and a fun movie. Although, didn't agree that he won the best actor Oscar over Russell Crow's incredible multi-dimensional performance in, "A Billiant Mind". As much as I and the Wife enjoy and appreciate Denzel, we were flabbergasted that Crow got so screwed. But then it was black year for the Oscars. Haven't watch them since, especially since Billy Crystal stopped hosting.

Javier Bardem played the drug kingpin who hired Cruise (sight-unseen); Foxx had to impersonate Cruise. Bardem told a story about “Pedro Negro”...

Crowe had just won for “Gladiator.” Off the top of my head, I can’t remember an actor winning Best Actor twice in a row.

You summed them all up nicely. The first one was also FUN. They killed it with the second one, sucked all the fun out of it.

The third one was stupid and the 4th (who cared by then)?

Did you know Jeff Goldblumn was the rapist in Death Wish?
