Good grief! Coach made us run laps for ANYTHING! If he thought you were looking at him funny you ran laps. Same thing with the gym teacher. Running laps is acceptable, normal and EFFECTIVE discipline. We are losing our minds in this country...
Laps are nothing. If we did anything wrong coach added to the number of wind sprints. They were a killer.
It is all part of the left’s destruction of Law and ORDER. I played sports many years ago. Running laps was part of any and all sports I played except fencing.
For hockey
“gassers” aka ladders-. Standing on goal line: Blueline back, red line back, far blue line back, goal line back. Throw in the stopwatch and skating backwards for variety
Boards i.e. across and back and you had to touch the boards, “make snow”,full stop and hop. and
Crossover circles: cross over skate around all face off circles. Backward, forward and stopwatch added additional variety
