It’s an LED reading device, and hers was on while Trump’s was off. You can see it come on as she approaches the podium and as she leaves at the end.

Makes one wonder why somebody felt there was a need to turn it off. If it had of been left on, it might have drawn less attention....

The power to the podiums would be turned on as the candidates approached them. This would make the microphones live as well. Then once over they would want to kill the power and mics. This would explain why we see her teleprompter power up and down while Trumps podium didn't have any visible electronics that would be seen powering up and or off.

Hillary did not ask for any podium modifications in any other debate, not that that is evidence of anything, but it gave Hillary's people the opportunity to modify the podium before hand. It is BTW considerably shorter than Donald's.

The thing on her back was the mic. The same mic that was on trump that made him sound like he had the sniffles. Anyone working in video recognizes that right off the bat.

The “cleaner” is someone who has worked on every Presidential Debate for ages. Everyone in the business knows him. Everyone means candidates and moderators. The “nod” was simply the same nod you give a co-worker when you pass them in the hallway.

The “light” on the lectern was a reflection. They were both allowed to take notes. Again, that is no secret.

My point is not to defend Hillary. My points are to suggest that Trump supporters need to stop waiting the “deus ex machina” to drop in and save Trump.

Trump is great when he is on message. Tweeting at 3 AM in the morning, about anything, is a bad sign. And it reinforces everything the dems are saying about him.

You are obstinate to the point you refuse to believe what your eyes are telling you. The light on the podium goes out as she walks away. If the light on her podium is a reflection, then you'll have to tell us where that light came from.

Actually, it seems to be illuminating her face.

You watched the video? And then you say you don't see anything?

btw, no one is forcing you to read what you consider to be FR bulls00it whatever that childish expression might mean. Try English.

The “light” on the lectern was a reflection. They were both allowed to take notes. Again, that is no secret.

You are so full of bovine excrement. That is NOT A REFLECTION. There was no such "reflection" on Trumps screen and a reflection does not switch off. Nor does it a reflection "glow" like an LCD screen. I am now promoting you to an idiot LIBERAL TROLL intent on running interference for the Hillary dirty tricks.

The thing on her back was the mic. The same mic that was on trump that made him sound like he had the sniffles. Anyone working in video recognizes that right off the bat.

Obviously you've targeted me as the most challenging of your critics on this thread, so you are responding to me. . . but you are not providing anything that backs your assertions with FACTS. The only link you provided was TWADDLE. Idiotic talking heads who had nothing to say except to ridicule the idea.

I told you I was of the opinion the items under Hillary's clothing were likely the wire and box for the mic necessary to pick up the sound for the debate. . . but you seem to ignore that. I also said it is entirely feasible for that same box and wire to also feed an earpiece or a hidden bone conduction speaker behind the ear. That technology exists. I've used it. If so, those would have been against the debate rules. We know that Barack Obama had something hidden in his ear at the second 2012 presidential debate that was caught on camera. Frankly, I doubt there was such a earpiece in this debate since Hillary had the monitor/Teleprompter on her podium. . . and I have had a career in technology, even owning a tech business for many years. I know what I am looking at. I've even done expert level woodwork and know exactly how I would mount such a device in the podium. . . and my method would mirror the one I see on that podium.

What I saw on Hillary's podium was NOT ANY KIND OF REFLECTION! Reflections change quality with the position of the viewer. This did not change quality or intensity as the position of the camera changed!

You are grasping at straws and trying to get a camel though the eye of a needle. I certainly hope your handlers are paying you enough for this idiocy. . . but you aren't worth what they are paying you for these completely unbelievable LIES.

You are way too invested in your theories.

Your inability to even consider reality is sad. And you revert to name calling.

That is pretty weak.

Watch the VP debates and come up with more theories. What you should be doing is working on getting the vote out. Nothing will save the campaign more than voters. Stop wishing for other issues and deal with the real world.

You understand how TV lights work, right?

Go spend twenty years setting them up, taking video in them, and dealing with idiots walking and moving in and out of shots.

Then we can talk.

Otherwise play around with a flashlight and some shiney finishes. This is not rocket science. But it is physics.

In an earlier comment, I posted an image of the back of both podiums, taken before the debate. That image shows there are two wires branching off from the power source installed through the floor. So it would seem that both podiums might have been identically wired. Hillary's light turned on as she walked towards the podium, but Trump's did not.

There might be another reason. Her face is lit from below. It's far more flattering. An overhead light casts shadows on a face and neck; now we might see why her face is illuminated - it was a trick to make her look younger, and Trump, whose light wasn't turned on, doesn't benefit from the lighting. His light wasn't turned on deliberately so that he would look older.

Heaven knows, she needs all the help she can get. The rest was all a matter of having copious notes to quote from, as we see her reading, the obvious collusion from the moderator, and of course, the written material had to be removed after she left the podium. I think that might just about cover it.

Not saying there was no LED reading device installed, but that light had an effect all of its own, and it switched on and off when the microphone was turned on and off. The light in Trump's podium did not work, and his microphone was faulty. Nasty nasty...

I explain the real world. You think this is a Tom Clancy novel.

If you don’t understand how reflections work, you might want to spend some time researching. It would be more productive than putting your hopes and fantasies into conspiracy theories.

Okay well debunk it all point by point.

If you said you heard about it some where else, then that’s not going to work.

I suggest you take a good long look at the video. The light in her podium comes on as she moves toward it, and at the end, it goes off as she walks away.

END OF STORY.

What the heck is your angle? You think by denying what we see, it will miraculously disappear?

YOUR TACTICS ARE NOT WORKING!

But if your motive is to start a flame war so that the post is pulled, because you want to remove the evidence presented here of manipulation during the debate, count me out. I want the evidence to remain on FR, even if you don’t.

Your insults will get you nowhere. Have a lovely day.

Actually, it seems to be illuminating her face.

It is definitely illuminating her hand!

From another angle, you can see that Trump's desk surface is angled downward from front to back, yet Hillary's is not, it's flat with no drop at all. This allows the greatest viewing angle down into the screen.

I've done stage lighting before. It's no longer advisable to do lighting from below the actors as it gives them a ghoulish, unnatural look. Foot lights are long gone from modern stages for that reason except for special purposes. You especially do not use low lighting on someone with wrinkles on their necks.

I notice other slight irregularities about Hillary's podium that are not present in Trump's podium that have to be there to accommodate the presence of the device. For example the ledge at the front of the podium with the curved front on Trump's podium is perfectly flat, but Hillary's podium has a slight 3º to4º angle upwards toward the rear to clear the upper edge of the screen.

I got curious what was on that screen area on Trump's podium so I enhanced area from the image above. Here's what I was able to bring out and there is certainly nothing there that can reflect anything.

As you can see, what ever is down in there is recessed further in and I think I can make out a clock, perhaps a timer for his speaking. But certainly no screen or teleprompter. . . and no flat reflective surface.
