Precisely. This maligned breed is being conflated with infanticide: which has nothing to do with the topic of the thread. At least those opposed to the breed and stating conventional wisdom are sticking to the subject.
This thread could be used to teach the ‘strawman’ fallacy in a rhetoric class.
