This is part of why I left Seattle for a nice hobby farm in south central KY.
It doesn’t completely protect us, but it mitigates the risk.

I've been looking at some home with 50 acres or more in Kentucky, West Virginia and upstate NY. The land in CT is way too expensive. I want something I can hunt on and plant a big garden.
