As I recall those events, I believe the connection to the jewelry found in Trayvons backpack was never thoroughly investigated
by either the police , nor school authorities.
Don't forget that school authorities wanted to downplay any criminal activities by students,
nor did they want listed the number of times police were called to the school.
An unnamed investigative reporter was the one who tracked down and linked Trayvon's backpack to the recent burglaries in proximity to the school.
The backpack and jewelry, while taken from Trayvon, was never specifically identified as Trayvon's when taken (chain of custody violation).
Another source might be any of the burglary victims whose jewelry was returned either by the police, or by school authorities.
Thanks, you added some more details to what I recalled. I would think the people who lost the jewelry would be interested in recovering it. However, if it doesn’t fit the establishment narrative the media isn’t going search for the truth
