LAX is a dump. My worst airport experience was flying on a international flight out of LAX. The int'l terminal was clearly way out of date and could not handle the crowd.

Uh, I went through LAX from Japan and the place was a disaster. We barely made our connecting flight with 2 hrs layover.

I was a little surprised by Trump’s statement about various cities airports being out of date or dilapidated as have never considered the construction and improvement of local airports to be a federal expenditure.

But, Trump does have an interesting idea. We could use federal dollars to rebuild airports in LA, New York, Newark, Chicago and other gateways to America.

Garcetti hasn’t made a connection from a domestic to an international or vice verse any time recently. What a pit and worse if you have a lengthy layover. Try and get eatable food in the international terminal. They can even wreck Rahman noodle soup.

Trump was out of line comparing these to third world airports. I’ve been to some very nice third world airports. Managua, Mexico City, Guadalajara and others. Much nicer than dumps like LAX and LGA.

I totally agree. It's badly designed and far outdated. One of my favorites is DFW. It's huge but well-equipped. Atlanta-Hartsfield is another nice one, IMO.
