The owner of two dogs has been cited after the pets caused a ruckus near a Canadian County school last week.
According to the El Reno Tribune, Canadian County Deputy Storm Barrett jumped into action when he saw a man running and screaming while being chased by two pit bulls.
The Tribunes Ray Dyer says the man was running backwards and was trying to keep the dogs away with a jacket.
At that point, Barrett parked his patrol car and Barrett and the man jumped on the hood of the cruiser to avoid the dogs.
Barrett says when the dogs tried to wander, he would bang his baton on the car to keep them there until animal control arrived.
Fortunately, the dogs did not bite anyone and their owner was eventually cited for allowing them to run at large.
I have to say, much as I distrust PBTs, I can’t believe being on the hood is enough. They must not be that driven if they won’t attempt (and succeed) to get on the hood. On the roof is where I’d be - and they likely wouldn’t get up there, even if really game.
They’re PBTs.
I’m sure the guy was flapping AFTER being attacked. Not everyone knows what you know. Tons - including vets, techs and other “animal experts”- still goo-goo baby-girl hi-pitch talk to dogs which only gets them more aggitated. So, no, it’s not intuitive.
