YouTube is a private enterprise and can monetize channels in any manner they see fit. Alternative competition needs to spring up. Barring that, I am rethinking my opinion about what constitutes public and private in the context of communications with the public.
I'm beginning to lean towards the position that if you serve the public, then there needs to be rules governing your behavior.
The Mainstream media most very definitely needs a board of governors controlling their behavior. They are manipulating elections by filtering information content, and this needs to be prohibited.
