The real problem is the welfare state and its social policies. Several decades ago, a friend from over there said they need the immigrants to make up for falling birth rates.

Now, a nation does not require masses of people to survive if it has limited government, just like early America. But if the government is picking Peter's pocket to pay for Paul's life, then what happens to Paul when Peter expires? Voila, bring in masses of uneducated worker bees and tax them.

Getting rid of Socialism in America and the government control of our lives, liberty and property is the only way to avoid the fate of Europe. When men are free, and the individual is once again valued more than the collective, only then will this extolling of barbarism end.

You nailed it. Ultimate result of the welfare state is to dehumanize everyone, turning us all into commodities who raid each other’s wallets. What a disaster this has all become.

Well said. Collectivism devalues individual life, which is why the Communists could justify purges - to ‘purify’ the collective.

Over the past three years, I’ve seen three separate studies (German statistical office, private economic foundation, and some university study). They all say basically the same thing for Germany. Population of today is 81-million. In twenty years, unless something changes....the population will be 65 to 68 million. Even if they take 250,000 a year (the normal average for each year over the past 20 years)...it doesn’t change anything much.

So this idea of 450,000 to 1,000,000? Yearly? Three or four years out of the next ten? It might slow down the population spiral some but it’ll still be less than 80 million in 20 years.

The chief issues for this spiral? It goes to women who want a career, a high cost of living, high taxation, urbanization, and increasing housing cost. I won’t ID socialism as the sole issue in this because of the various ways that the economy is built.

I live in Germany, so I can speak to this whole fundamental problem.
