The other adware I've seen has a background website that looks like an MS support page.
That happened to me yesterday. I closed down my browser (Chrome) with the task manager. No problems since.
Chrome still won’t put Drudgreport in the initial screen where it displays recently visited sites. It does display freerepublic.
