“Football is supposed to be a kick ass game, why not have kick ass music.”
Because the NFL has become the biggest US pro sport by appealing to a huge number of casual fans. The general population has been conditioned to accept music like this audible dog squeeze with absolutely no edge. That’s why it’s popular music, most like it. Pretty darn grim when you think about it.
