And they'll suffer for it, but that's very cold comfort indeed if Wisconsin (or Pennsylvania or Michigan) doesn't go to Trump on election day.

I'm hopeful that at least one of them will, however, which will seal the deal.

A couple more muzzie bombing “incidents,” and Pennsylvania, Michigan AND Wisconsin will all go for Trump.

Even assuming Florida North Carolina and Ohio, we will need to almost run the table or win Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado, or Wisconsin. Of these, Colorado looks like the most doable. If Trump can behave himself he might just win in Wisconsin which, after all, has shown its mettle in retaining the governor. The other states in the normal course are probably beyond reach.

More bombings or more collapsings might do it, if he can just think before he speaks in which he has shown a spotty record even after Kelly Ann Conway took over, witness the clumsy remarks about disarming Hillary which could have been done so much more effectively.

Of these three variables two clearly cannot be controlled and the third is questionable. But the need for insurance is perhaps more critical than obvious because the Clinton ground game which is extremely well-funded and no doubt state-of-the-art when it was inherited from Obama in critical states like Ohio, can put the election out of reach if it is close. We need insurance.
