Steam them whole, then put them in a 400 degree oven for five minutes before serving. When steaming them make sure the potato is not at all in the water being turned to steam. Steam an average baking potato for ten to twelve minutes of steam max (the cheetering sound with the doohickey on top of the valve), then cool quickly by putting the closed pot under cold water until the [pressure valve is released.

It never occurred to me to try to make baked potatoes this way
It’s so hot in central Florida most of the year that turning on the oven any time but winter is something I try to avoid as much as possible .
