I’m not questioning birtherism. I don’t believe Obama was born in the US. What too many don’t understand is that for people to believe that Obama was born on foreign soil, that Americans need a higher level of proof.

Obama enjoys that legitimacy because he is the first black president and anyone sane will not accuse him without ironclad proof because even the public accusation of racism can ruin one’s life. Obama admitting it on video would certainly meet the criteria where a majority of Americans can proclaim Obama’s non-eligibility without fear of reprisal.

It’s the world we live in. I hate it because I believe the push it of the truth and the possibility of losing America should trump any other consideration in Americans’ minds but it just isn’t so.

Well he certainly wasn't going to admit it once his political aspirations took flight. But he did admit it to his publisher. There is no other possible source for that information at that time but from the horses mouth. The rest of the ironclad proof coming from Kenya, including their Parliament could not have been born by rumor. The lack of ironclad proof that he was born anywhere only adds to the facts already in evidence.
