My best buddy here in Charlevoix, on northern Lake Michigan is a former commercial fisherman whose extended family fished the Great lakes for over 100 years. His cousin’s still have a fish market here in Charlevoix. Back in the 1980’s, the federal government ruled that they couldn’t fish anymore because Indians(They called them that back then.) had treaty rights extending back decades, which put them out of business. He only recently sold the last fish tug to some guys out of Erie, Pa. to end the familie’s heritage on the lakes.

With all our immigrants and government controls, I wonder when the availability of food will become a BIG issue.
