The USA has been preparing and supplying annual reports to the UN even though they have NOT ratified the UN Small Arms Trade Treaty to date. I have reviewed such a report on the web. U.S. reported compliance actions included:

1) Return of US mfgd. (funded by US citizen tax-payers) M1 carbines from ally countries such as S. Korea, precluding their distribution through the CMP to law abiding citizens followed by their subsequent destruction.
