It was GOOD to be ‘young and foolish’.

Besides, it is a tough job and someone has to do it.

I still have the instinct etc to go TOWARDS a burning building or gunfire....

Probably be in the way when I get there BUT with present standards the only ones there would be of like mindset etc..

I still can’t get over the site of MANY armed men standing outside a building while waiting for the ‘correct time’ to enter while mayhem is going on inside......

Because my Marine squadron had a tail hook, I spent about 25% of my
tour on various carriers...the berthing on those beasts was bad enough and
you could always go topside to get some air...can't imagine what that was
like on a sub...you and your brethren have my respect.
