I stayed in bachelor’s quarters on FT Benning for a few weeks. There were officers from several two bit banana republics going to school there. One day I opened up the dryer and it smelled like a musty locker room. The culprit - in the dryer were some brightly colored camo uniforms, which could only come from some hellhole nation in Africa. The guy must have got them all sweaty, and decided to dry them...without washing them first.
I started doing laundry somewhere else.

Ugh, must have been there at a bad time. I’ve stayed at the BOQ a couple of times several years ago and was surprised at how nice it was compared to years past. Since I now like to bring my dog for extended TDY trips(DA civilian now), I usually stay off post, but always enjoy my time there.
